Oil and Vinegar Set in Polychrome Dutch Delftware
The pearshaped jugs with their long sprout are derived from Japanese models of 1660-1680. The colouring in the decoration show aswel how well factoty `De Griekse A´ was specialized in imitating the high esteemed Japanese Imari. Technique: Large and small fire technique (polychroom, blue, red and gold). The letters A and O on the jugs stand for Azijn (vinegar) and Olie (oil); their contents.
